    Grasse is the world capital of perfume so don't forget to visit one of the numerous factories and the perfume museum. Biot- almost as famous as Venice- for glass blowing, not forgetting the Fernand Leger museum.  Antibes - the richest port on the Med- with sumptuous yachts, the town walls, the Picasso museum; Vallauris for its famous potteries.
        Further afield take an excursion out to the Vallée des Merveilles (prehistoric engraving) in the gorges up in the hills behind Nice; the Verdon Grand Canyon, etc...

Italy is just an hour's drive away and on the border, Vintimille offers its Friday market, where leather goods and alcohol are a must.
